Compound words and prefixes

Do you know the right prefix for the base word? In this test you will have to ‘drop’ the correct base word alongside its prefix to make a compound word.

For example “over” + “arching” = “overarching“.

Find the base form

Look at the list of words below and try to identify the base form.
For example: “antispasmodic” the base form = spasmodic.
(for the purpose of this exercise we will ignore any suffixes at the end of the base word.)

Nouns, verbs and adjectives

See if you know your verbs from your nouns. You will now have 3 quick tests to complete. In each test you will have to correcty identify from a list of words whether they are nouns, verbs or adjectives. This is also against the clock.
